I don’t know why these people are shown next to each other. One is a scientist and the other… well the most charitable thing I can call him is a businessman.

The point is not to make it easier to read, the point is to click on and select the text.
That’s fair, in all honesty it’s a great tool. But in the end it’s not worth it.
They’re about 25 years late with this nonsense. Yeah borking trade will slow China down a little but not very much. And at insane expense to everyone involved.
Presidential pardons are one of those incredibly stupid things that show in the end America just wants a king.
I think once you see how much damage colonization did it’s easy to blame everything on that one evil. But that’s oversimplifying to an extreme extent.
For example, I really doubt the idea of class based karma (or karma based class perhaps) was a colonial introduction to India. I’m not disagreeing with you that modern capitalism is bad or saying that colonialism wasn’t damaging, those are both true, but it’s pretty damn patronizing to says “they couldn’t have had bad socioeconomic practices without us” Hell they had a literal caste system of worker exploitation long before we showed up.
It’s easy to blame capitalism for this and I don’t disagree it’s pretty broken right now but I’ve been all over the world and people are largely like this. In India I heard a lot of “rich people deserve it because they have good karma” in China I heard a lot of “rich people just work harder or come from a great family” against all visible evidence.
Far be it from me to criticize people pirating this software but after some period of adjustment I’m very happy with the open source alternatives to most of these.
So what does that say? Even with a demon like Trump as opposition the establishment democrats couldn’t motivate their own base to vote. Obviously we want to vote against republicans. But the establishment was and is doing a horrible job of making that happen.
The downside to this approach, when you get right down to it, even if it works and improves standards of living all round. The real crux of the problem that the scientists always ignore is this: you’d have to allow some of your money to go to other people. That’s a deal breaker for most folks with money.
Yeah now we can industrially extract all the remaining water from the air as well as the ground.
edit: Sorry I thought it was obvious this was slightly tongue-in-cheek.
So the moderates were the real extremists all along
I doubt it in this case. He’s not holding onto any secrets that he might spill. Killing him is only to their advantage if it sends a message “don’t mess with us or you’ll die”. That works if he’s convicted and executed, that doesn’t work if it’s seen as “a company will just assassinate you”. They’d have to keep the assassination a secret, which would defeat the purpose.
The establishment is why we have Trump.
On top of that even the most skillful singers in the world are most likely not the most famous. Becoming famous is a skill in itself, separate from the ability you’re famous for.
Keep on toeing that party line. It’s doing wonders for the DNC.
They didn’t include him out of kindness but because excluding him would alienate a huge part of their base. They publicly let him in and then behind the scenes made sure he wouldn’t get far.
Recent events have shown clearly how much more public support Bernie is able to pull compared to those deluded old establishment types in the DNC. Schumer keeps yapping the same old platitudes while their numbers keep falling. Meanwhile Bernie’s selling out stadiums even in red states.
So how does these embedded scripts get extracted? You need a separate executable to do the actual extraction/execution?
