  • Money vs moral high ground. Anyone who says no to the money says no to having any say in politics. They would be considered an idiot in my book. There are 0 candidates who win elections from a moral high ground in the U.S.

Make sure there are no strings attached, take the money and make changes. The strings right now can be as simple as getting those people out of office. Anyone who thinks not taking his money would help them is an absolute idiot that SHOULD NOT ever be in charge. As they are completely incompetent and make horrible decisions. Musk is a horrible person. Not taking his money extends the fascist regime the MAGA crowd supports.

This isn’t a bowling league where you are trying to friends with the monster. This is a failing once Republic that needs saving. Take his money, get shit done. You don’t need to do anything he wants. You just need to fund your campaign.

  • How a normal courthouse arrest would work: Judge asks the court’s deputy to take the person into custody and an officer walks up to the person at the podium and tells them they are going to put cuffs on them, tells them their rights, whatever. You have to go through metal detectors and security to enter a courthouse in the U.S. They clearly do not have a weapon on them or it would have been confiscated upon entry during that process. Some our local courthouse do not even allow you to bring your phone in. (This policy varies as the courthouse in the next down does allow you to). Anyways. This man clearly was not running, or fighting and had no weapon on him. So by all definitions he showed up to court as requested and complied with all requirements and was physically assaulted and taken to the ground for no reason.

We need to start putting these officers on trial for assault/battery charges. Note: if such was done here the victim would legally be allowed to stay in the U.S. and have an expedited citizenship case during the court proceedings.

Aka the law would essentially put those officers in jail and grant citizenship to the man who did what he was asked. The fact that it won’t happen speaks volumes about how the executive branch is not upholding the legislative branches decisions. Therefore all executive branch members letting this occur should be charged with treason

  • A masked policing agency isn’t anything but a cult motivated mob. They are no better no than the KKK. They are following orders they know the population will not accept. Therefore they have abandoned their oath to protect the populus, and chose to serve only the rich.

Call me terrible, but the best thing we can do is tell them they will all serve life sentences for their actions when Trump leaves office. 100 year sentence for every ICE member that assists or assaults member of our community. If they are in a state that offers the death penalty, they should be able to choose it if they wish.

  • Sorry you went through that, I’m glad to hear you got out of the situation. All people can be anything like you said. I once had the bad luck of meeting someone that was walking around a bar walked up behind me where I was sitting and she reached around and grabbed me by the crotch, I had never seen her before that. I asked why she did that and she responded that she didn’t want to waste her time talking to anyone and be disappointed later. To which I said please don’t do that again and I went and told the bouncer because I saw her do it to another man as I walked away. The bouncer said he’d keep an eye out for it, because me telling him wasn’t enough to address it apparently. Another time I had a woman walk up behind me while standing in line for the bathroom and reach between my legs from behind and grab my balls. I gave a wtf look and walked out of the place. It is far more common we hear about men acting like pigs, but anyone can act like one. Those were just the first 2 I thought of.

  • No thanks. We need to shut down all U.S. affiliation with prisons outside the U.S. Release those prisoners or transfer them back to the U.S. and have proper trials. Trump needs to stand trial for the fake electors and for every unconstitutional measure he has done before/since as an unconstitutional act that the Supreme Court deems unconstitutional should not be considered an official act. The President should be suspended from all duties until Congress performs an investigation draws up the articles of impeachment and it is tried by the Senate.

Musk should be tried for election interference and any other laws he may have broken but it should be done right here in the U.S. If anything freeze all of his accounts and require him to step down from any/all roles within his companies as part of his required bale terms, or otherwise he would be choosing to spend the time awaiting trial in jail.

These actions would ensure they aren’t trying to drag court cases out for years, they would want the court cases to move along faster.

Would Trump get convicted by the Senate, unlikely. That’s on us for voting terrible people into the legislative branch. But we can’t complain about those who break the law if we think it’s fine to break the law when it fits our wants. We need to update those laws legally or tear the whole thing down and say Musk and Trump didn’t break any laws because we didn’t think those laws mattered as well.

  • I know I’m getting older but this would bother me as well. It seems like a terrible way to shorten the word in my head. I think my brain just doesn’t like vowels and wants words to be shortened to end with consonants. Things like HOA make sense because they are all individual words.
