In my opinion SO has been replaced by forges discussions/issues. Whenever I have an issue with some library or piece of software, I will always check their repo to see if someone is going through the same thing or how they solved it.

When I tried to engage with SO it was a pain in the ass so I just stopped answering/asking.

I didn’t say DHT was strictly something specific to Stremio. I mentioned it was what was being suggested by people trying to solve the issue, but I indeed didn’t find anything to support it.

I used Stremio for a while and then I discovered it doesn’t seed and it is just a leech. Since then we have a Jellyfin server at home and we are able to watch everything in 4K without having to worry if the movie will play smoothly.

If I could, I would stop seeding to all the Stremio clients out there. Whenever someone brings up the seed issue most of the people say they don’t care.

Our neighbour unit is sitting empty since we moved last july. It is a 3 bedroom unit.

He’s someone that was a developer for Netscape and Firefox. I used to follow him but stopped doing so and now I find him quite annoying, haha

I agree with him in many things but he’s always replying people like he’s better than everyone which makes me think he must be a very shitty boss considering he’s the owner of a club.

The person that had the PR merged wasn’t a maintainer, they just attempted to make the change using a different phrasing. I remember they wrote “corrected grammar errors” and provided arguments and the PR got merged. Here is the PR. They even posted on Mastodon about it at the time.

Edit: It seems now they require contributors to write documentation in gender-neutral language. However, the main dev still complains, to this day, how hard it is to run an OSS project while being “apolitical”.
