So, ostensibly, pardons are meant to be a way to override the Justice system where it has failed to provide justice. If the law is unjust or it’s application was unjust, a pardon can correct that. And ideally it is used sparingly and by a President that that can be trusted to be an arbiter of wisdom and morality. So there’s just about no limitations on the power. And the other branches are meant to give consequences for unethical applications of it, like quid pro quo pardons/bribery. But obviously that is not how it works in practice.
Is he even attempting to make up a justification for it other than “help those who hurt the right people”?
Low population, low density, lots of farm land, can count the number of houses in a mile stretch of road on your fingers. May have one small commercial area within 15 miles with a dollar general, a gas station and, if you’re lucky, a grocery store. Not nearly enough businesses nearby to employ people even the measly number of people there that isn’t a farmer, so they commute to neighboring towns or counties to find work in factories, possibly dozens of miles away. I basically just described where my sister lives in Tennessee.
What do you mean? They just ask Jesus for forgiveness at the 11th hour and bing bang boom, eternity in heaven. The 'ol Christianity grift. Didn’t you know that’s how morality and cosmic justice works?
Lick my sack, Cruz.
Fiend: Look, I’ll take what I can get. Can I get the legs? I’ll take the legs. She can have the top part.
Archfey: Did you just call the head the “top part”? That is so fucked up.
FR. My Battle Smith Artificer can suddenly learn the Wizarding arts and summon a spell book mid-dungeon crawl despite most wizards spending their life learning those things. But despite being able to harness the weave into mundane objects, including armor, to enhance them, or create magic items wholecloth, and even create a living construct, I cannot actually create a magic suit of armor and become an armorer artificer, no matter how much I try.
“hunter2”, you say?

Fair, it could, yes. The bigger problem was definitely the ability to brute force the passwords though, as surfacing the hash still leaves them encrypted which isn’t super valuable without access to the hashing algorithm.
Idk how you came to these conclusions. They might be storing it plain text and comparing directly, sure. Any website might be. But there is nothing about this that indicates that they are actually doing that for sure. They could absolutely just be comparing the hash after each input. The problem that for sure is happening is that they have sent the hash tot the front end, i.e. in the web page elements that the user can inspect, and they are verifying your current/used password(s) on the fly without even a submit attempt counting against them. All of which means a password farmer could just harvest the hashes for every username they try, and/or use bots to put in a username/password, hit “forgot password”, and then brute force the stored current/password(s) without any red flags being raised.
I know what a banshee is, the story where Loki fucked a horse, and I know the Olympian gods, Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Hermes, Athena, Ares, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Artemis, Apollo, Dionysus, and Demeter. But there are a lot more Greek Gods and lesser Gods than them, Hades being a big one. But also various primorial gods, titans, demigods, river gods, gods of the winds, goddesses of seasons, muses, nymphs, satyrs… hundreds of them. I know only a handful of them and in much lesser detail. I’m pretty sure anyone that has played Hades, watched Hercules, or completed high school English in the US can name at least a couple dozen though.
Ethno-states gonna ethno-state.
I unapologetically love the version by I Fight Dragons. And the original is really not that bad.
Insulation is insulation, it can keep something hot as much as it can keep something cold. And a refrigeration system reversed becomes a heat pump. Would cost next to nothing to make something like this happen from a mechanical standpoint.
Modern slang often seems to be recycled slang with a new cadence that makes it feel more Gen Z. There is some truly unique stuff too, but it’s kind of funny how just changing how you use a word in a sentence or with a specific inflection can make it feel fresher.
I see what you did there. Would that I were a sword nerd. I was just googling the original because I couldn’t remember how it went and noticed it had an entirely different dude in it.
