1·2 days agoEmacs Dired would be my goto here, though it’s cumbersome if you dont know the bindings.
kill-rectangle and multiple-cursors within Dired are immensely useful
Edit: Oh, I just understood you want to mass modify the files themselves. In which case
wgrepis useful here within Emacs, for modifying multiple buffers.It essentially runs a grep command on a directory, collates all the results in a single buffer, lets you modify that buffer for all files, and then save in one go
We havent seen the weights. In a general sense - yes; in a weighted sense - slow yes

There’s an ongoing joke with one of the Fables characters, Mr Porky Pine (a porcupine) who desires only human women due to a curse set on him when he insulted a witch aeons ago. He uses the same trick.
Same with Puffins. Cute little flying penguins that happily catch worms in their beak, only to be robbed in mid-air by hawks and other birds of prey.
