All these false talking points and lies smell of right wing am radio trash.

you’re just like maga. not everyone who disagrees with you or asks questions is Rush Limbaugh, and these aren’t “talking points” that i’m getting from a list handed out to right wing newscasters, this just me, a human, talking about thoughts and my inner conflict regarding greta.
do you even know what “talking points” means? or is that just some way that you can discount a person’s perspective entirely.
i’m engaging in a discussion, not making proclamations.
    ….
you clearly missed it but i DO respect her, her values and what she’s doing… just not like, completely worshipping her as some green deity like you.

  • Killing Greta would be the kind of media storm that Israel would not want to deal with

Israel shot the ship last time they tried to go across… I don’t think they care.
I don’t understand why people would think, “they surely won’t kill me, it would be too immoral!” while protesting a literal genocide.

In March 16, 2003, Rachel Corrie, an American nonviolence activist, placed herself in the path of a Caterpillar D9R armored bulldozer in Rafah, in an attempt to impede house demolitions, and was run over by the bulldozer and murdered. I strongly discourage you from finding it, but there is video of her death. They definitely saw her, surely heard her screaming, and they did not hesitate… On March 16, every year since including this year, Israeli soldiers (and others) eat waffles in celebration of killing her.

Imagine trying to bring a humanitarian aid vessel to one of the Jewish ghettos in Nazi germany pre-wwii… Do you think the Nazis would be afraid of “the kind of media storm” they’d get? Or would they just kill them and continue the genocide?

I wouldn’t say it’s pointless, or that it’s not brave… but it’s naive to think that a genocidal regime, who is very public about their genocide, will suddenly have a crisis of conscience because they don’t want to kill white people.

also, for the record, she did not attempt to do this before. She acted like she was going to attempt to, but then didn’t get on the boat. I don’t think she should get on it, either… that’s not her skillset and the only point of her being on it is, “oh but they wouldn’t dare to kill greta!”… and they surely would kill her, and not apologize, and probably celebrate her death.

  • the article skips why, but it is actually extremely relevant…

Cruz’s attorney claimed his client, a transgender woman, lashed out against Hodges because the 36-year-old postal worker had made a slur “about her gender identity.”
    ….
Cruz claimed that Hodges had ridiculed her with homophobic remarks and struck her several times before she pulled a knife and fatally stabbed him.
She showed no remorse for her actions when interviewed by detectives at the 28th Precinct in Harlem.

“I hope he’s maggot food,” Cruz told detectives, according to court documents. “I killed him laughing. Oh, well. I’ll piss on his grave.”.
Hodges had struck Cruz at least three times during the deli fight before she stabbed him, she claimed.

“I told him, ‘You come to me and I’ll kill you,’” Cruz told investigators. “No motherf—ers are going to put their hands on me no more.

“He tried to mess with me because I’m trans, and I poked him up,” Cruz said.

  • a: i’m not part of any “you guys”.
b: like i said, part of me is jaded, part of me is impressed…
i don’t know, because she already almost did this once and then didn’t get on the boat. That isn’t walking the walk…
    you greta fanboys are nuts.
i don’t like her because she convinces her followers to drop out of school, when an education would give them a lot of power to actually change things.
protests are great and all, but we DO need more environmental scientists. just because she dropped out doesn’t mean it’s not worthwhile to understand environmentalism from a scientific point of view.
i don’t see her so much as walking the walk as much as a very very privileged white girl, who wrote some okay essays and is doing more harm than good.

  • she already “almost” did this a couple months ago, but then didn’t get on the boat.
let’s see if she’s on the boat this time.

however, you’re clinically insane if you can’t possibly understand the extremely simple concept i’m writing down.

you need to tolerate thought. As i said in my post, that was one thought i had, balanced by a different competing thought. And i have reserved judgement for now….
this isn’t a cult, we’re allowed scrutinize and to ask questions… to reserve judgement until evidence… this isn’t just green maga….
